The Al-Invest meeting will take place in the incomparable setting of SIL 2004, the International Logistics Exhibition, which will be held on May 25 and 26, 2004 in Barcelona.
This is a sector-specific meeting, in which representatives of European and Latin American SMEs will participate. The main objective is to contribute to the internationalization of companies from both regions, encouraging European firms to invest in the technological modernization of Latin American companies that require it.
The sector meetings will last two days, taking place within the framework of a specialized trade fair such as SIL.
Proposals from the meeting
Distribution agreements, joint ventures, transfers of the most advanced technology, or objective but essential information about the sector, which facilitate the formation of strategic alliances, will be some of the offerings of this meeting.
To this end, participating companies receive a program of face-to-face interviews, specially organized for them according to their profiles and products.
The Al-Invest program was launched in 1993 by the European Commission and in a few years has become established as an effective instrument of cooperation between European and Latin American SMEs.
The results to date have been more than satisfactory. For four or five years, over 6.000 companies in Europe and Latin America have benefited from these agreements, which have managed to maintain sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation between firms in both regions, limiting public contribution to a catalytic role.
