The company Serviplaza Logística de Zaragoza begins its activity this October in the Centrovía industrial park in the town of La Muela, near the Aragonese capital.
From there, it will provide comprehensive logistics services to small and medium-sized enterprises located within a 300-kilometer radius, offering everything from the supply of raw materials to the final distribution of products, including picking, order preparation, and capillary distribution.
The project represents a total investment exceeding €7,3 million. This translates into 35.000 square meters of floor space, of which 15.000 have been built as an operational warehouse. It has several cold storage facilities with a current capacity of 8.000 cubic meters, although the company has reserved 22.000 square meters for a future expansion of the cold storage areas should the need arise. Regarding equipment, Serviplaza will have a fleet of 195 vehicles. Employment expectations are around 120 direct jobs when the company is fully operational, in addition to approximately 400 indirect jobs.
Its clients will primarily be companies located in the Ebro Valley, in the regions of Aragon, La Rioja, and Navarre. Furthermore, Serviplaza intends to operate as a customs agency. In this regard, company officials have stated that they are in discussions with the ports of Barcelona, Bilbao, and Santander to create an inland port, as their warehouse has 30 loading and unloading docks.
