Through its subsidiary SSG Sanitary Transport (SSG TS) and in partnership with the local company Sumeet, the company will manage the state's emergency system for the next decade.
The contract, worth more than 1.200 millones de euros, covers the complete management of the service, including the 108 emergency line, staff training, outpatient care, and medical transport. An initial investment of 120 millones de euros.
For this project, SSG TS will deploy a fleet of more than 2,000 vehicles, which includes ambulances, rapid response motorcycles, and boats, all equipped with Spanish technology. These vehicles will be assembled in India, underscoring the company's commitment to local collaboration.
The initiative seeks to modernize the emergency system of Maharashtra, India's second-most populous state, with a population of approximately 129 million. SSG TS has reportedly highlighted the support of the Spanish government, particularly during President Pedro Sánchez's visit to India last October, as a key factor in the finalization of the agreement.
