The EXPORTA Fair once again brings together the export sector in Madrid.

EXPORTS from May 22nd to 24th, 2002

The Madrid Trade Fair and the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) are preparing for the launch of the third edition of the Export Services Fair, EXPORTA 2002. The new edition of this fair, which will feature the participation of nearly 200 companies and institutions, will be held from May 22nd to 24th.

The Export Services Fair has established itself as an essential event for companies with an international focus. This third edition will once again be held every two years at the Madrid Trade Fair, following its recent run in Barcelona. EXPORTA 2002's primary objective is to offer concrete and effective answers to the traditional questions and needs of companies wishing to take their products and services beyond our borders. It is a fair clearly dedicated to exporters. Professionals visiting EXPORTA will have access to all the agents and services that can offer solutions for exporting or investing abroad, at a fair that has become the most comprehensive exhibition of companies that support and facilitate international expansion.

The large number of businesses attending EXPORTA, including leading firms from different sectors, paints a true picture of a dynamic industry that is in an excellent position, especially favored by the new Europe of the euro.

Workshops

Alongside the exhibition, professionals will analyze current trends in the international trade sector, both from the perspective of exports and investment, in the engaging program of thematic and market-focused workshops. The 100 workshops will take place at Exporta 2002 and will cover topics ranging from financial instruments and transportation issues to information technologies and specific opportunities in various sectors and markets. Each workshop will consist of a 30-40 minute presentation by the speakers, followed by a question-and-answer session and brief discussions.

International meeting point

One of the offerings that has become essential in previous editions of EXPORTA, and has been a great success, is the International Meeting Point. This year, the Economic and Commercial Advisors from the Ministry of Economy's offices abroad will once again be available to offer their expertise to individual businesspeople. A unique opportunity to obtain firsthand information and advice.
