Bet on gastronomy to attract international tourists
The president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, has announced that Turisme Comunitat Valenciana plans to increase the promotion of the Comunitat Valenciana destination through gastronomic products throughout this year.

The objective is to bring the quality and competitiveness of Valencian gastronomic products, together with the professionalism of the region's chefs, to international markets such as Dubai and Tokyo.
Specifically, Valencian Community Tourism will join the participation of Valencian companies in the agri-food sector in the fairs Guldfood Dubai, which will take place between February 19 and 22, and in Tokyo Foodex, from March 4 to 8.
These promotional actions will feature the participation of prestigious Valencian chefs who will have the opportunity to cook for tour operators and travel agents from these countries, with the intention of highlighting the diversity and quality of the Valencian gastronomic product, among other attractions of the destination.
For Carlos Mazón, gastronomy is one of the “hallmarks” of the Valencian Community and, together with the excellence of the products and the professionalism of the sector, “it gives the Community's tourism an unmatched character throughout the world.”
The campaign, which will be carried out in Dubai and Tokyo, two cities with great tourism potential, aims to make the diversity and quality of Valencian gastronomy known to new audiences.
The president has also highlighted the high appreciation that tourists have for Valencian gastronomy, which "will serve as a gateway to increasing the number of tourists from more distant countries."
L'Exquisit Mediterrani
Turisme Comunitat Valenciana already has its own gastronomy strategy that, under the L'Exquisit Mediterrani brand, carries out actions to promote this product in various areas of action.
This network, which seeks to connect the different gastronomic initiatives in our territory to create synergies and improve our positioning, has more than twenty participating public entities and nearly 450 restaurants. All of them meet parameters of excellence, authenticity, innovation and sustainability, which reinforces the positioning of the Comunitat Valenciana destination in the gastronomic field.
