The statements took place during the professional day “Financing and Tax Incentives in Audiovisual Production”, organized by Grupo Carrillo and City of Light.
Cano emphasized that the Valencian Community offers "optimal conditions for developing ambitious audiovisual projects," largely thanks to cutting-edge infrastructure such as the City of Light. This complex, a "European benchmark in cinematographic creativity”, consolidates the region as a hub for audiovisual production, capable of hosting everything from feature films to television and commercial productions, supported by the latest technology.
Despite having an "audiovisual ecosystem prepared to become an international benchmark," the minister acknowledged that "we still have challenges ahead." Cano emphasized the need to constantly adapt to technological, commercial, and management changes to ensure the sector remains "at the forefront" in a dynamic environment.
Financial and fiscal stimulus: The key to growth

In addition, Cano highlighted the decisive push towards cinema, with an investment of 9 million euros over the next three years, of which 5 million will be allocated in 2025. “Film production is a cultural expression and an industry that generates employment and international projection, priority objectives of this Ministry,” explained the councilor.

The event featured prominent figures in the sector, who addressed crucial topics such as the Generalitat's aid and incentive plan, presented by Juan José Cortés. Alternatives for profitable investment in the film industry, with interventions by experts such as José Manuel Lizanda of the Tax Agency and Peter Welter, vice president of Profilm. The event also featured Salvador Navarro, president of the Valencian Confederation of Businessmen (CEV).
The program included a session dedicated to the business models in the audiovisual industry, moderated by Antonio Mansilla, president of the Valencian Audiovisual Association of Independent Producers (AVAPI). This session featured María Luisa Gutiérrez, president of the Valencian Audiovisual Association of Independent Producers (AECINE); Eva Fontanals, president of the Federated Independent Audiovisual Producers (PIAF); and Kiko Martínez, president of the Valencian Audiovisual Cluster.

The event, organized by the Carrillo Group in collaboration with the Generalitat (Catalan Government), aims to attract investment, foster innovation, and strengthen the industry's competitiveness by promoting initiatives such as co-productions and talent development.
