The President of the Generalitat, Ximo Puig, and the president of the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, Stefano Bonaccini, have held a meeting in which they have agreed on a common front in defense of the interests of the ceramic industry.
During the meeting, both leaders agreed on the need to present to the European Commission an increase in aid in response to the "suffocating" situation this sector is experiencing, due to the increase in energy costs exacerbated by the war in Ukraine.
For this reason, they agreed to request a meeting with the European Commissioner for Economic and Monetary Affairs, Paolo Gentiloni, to convey this joint claim of the two most important regions in Europe in ceramic production.
