The Spanish cosmetics industry shines as a country of honor at the China Beauty Expo

A strategic growing market

Nine Spanish companies have participated in the fair under the Beauty from Spain brand, coordinated by ICEX and with the support of Stanpa, the business association of the cosmetics industry in Spain.

The Spanish cosmetics industry has demonstrated its strength in the 28th edition of China Beauty Expo, which is held in Shanghai from May 22 to 24. As a country of honor, Spain has had the opportunity to show its global leadership in this sector before more than 3.000 exhibitors from 40 countries and 1.400 billion potential Chinese consumers.

 

China has become a strategic market for the Spanish cosmetics industry, positioning itself as the tenth export destination with a volume of more than 150 million euros. Skin care is the category with the greatest penetration in the Chinese market, which represents a great opportunity for Spanish companies specialized in this segment.

 

Nine Spanish companies have participated in the fair under the brand Beauty from Spain, coordinated by ICEX and with the support of Stanpa, the business association of the cosmetics industry in Spain. Among the participating companies are Belnatur, DISNA, Instituto Español, ISDIN, Laboratorios Phergal, Laboratorios Viñas, Mesosystem, Sesderma, Skin Tech Pharma Group and Toskani.

 

The presence of Spain at China Beauty Expo has served to promote the image of the Spanish cosmetics industry as synonymous with excellence, quality, premium design and innovation.

 

The Spanish companies have highlighted their deep pharmaceutical and dermatological knowledge, their commitment to innovation in new formulas, ingredients and more sustainable processes, and the guarantee of the demanding European regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices that guarantee the safety, reliability and effectiveness of their products.

 

Within the framework of the fair, Spain has received a special award for its contribution to 28th edition of China Beauty Expo. Furthermore, the Economic Advisor and Commercial of the Spanish Embassy in Shanghai, Juan José Zaballa, and Susana Arranz, international and innovation director of Stanpa, spoke at the opening ceremony, where they addressed the relevance of the Spanish beauty industry in the Chinese market and the future opportunities in this sector.

 

Spain's participation in China Beauty Expo has been a resounding success, consolidating the country's position as a global benchmark in the cosmetics industry and opening new business opportunities for Spanish companies in the Chinese market.
