Castilla-La Mancha's industry has attracted 75% of foreign investment in the last decade.

This factory is dedicated to recycling telecommunications cables to obtain strategic raw materials such as copper, steel, aluminum, and even plastic. Patricia Franco emphasized the importance of this type of project at a time when the industrial capacity to produce these raw materials is essential.

 

The councilor expressed her gratitude for the trust placed in her by eCu Global Recycling and the Macquarie investment fund, whose focus on the region has enabled the launch of this internationally leading recycled copper factory, with American and Australian capital. Franco offered the regional government's continued support for future projects, highlighting the successful collaboration in developing this initiative.

 

Industrial Strength and Strategic Autonomy

 

The minister noted that Castilla-La Mancha is the autonomous community with the fourth largest share of industry in GDP across the country. Projects like eCu Global Recycling not only exemplify reindustrialization but also consolidate the region's industrial capabilities.

 

Patricia Franco He emphasized that the arrival of foreign direct investment is a clear reflection of the importance of industry to the regional economy. Of the more than €2.000 billion and 333 projects attracted since 2015, three out of every four euros have been allocated to industrial activities. "At a time when we are experiencing tensions in diplomatic relations, here in the region, we offer certainty and peace of mind," Franco stated, underscoring the agreement on key issues such as job creation, wealth generation, and the strengthening of international trade relations.
