La Junta de Andalucía has announced the opening of the call for applications 1st edition of the Andalucía TRADE Andalusian Business Awards 2025, an initiative aimed at honoring the work of companies that drive the regional economy. These awards, promoted by the Ministry of Economy, Finance and European Funds and organized by Andalucía TRADE, seek to enhance the value of companies of any size, sector or legal form that generate wealth and employment through their international projection and its commitment to the innovation.
The Awards will evaluate the applications submitted by companies for their commitment to innovation, business collaboration and knowledge transfer, as well as their ability to position Andalusia as an attractive destination for foreign investment.
The award, which will be presented biennially, will be a marble replica of one of the lions in the Patio de los Leones (Courtyard of the Lions) at the Alhambra, a symbol that represents the role of these companies in promoting Andalusia worldwide. The call, open until October 31, 2025, invites companies to submit their applications in six different categories, designed to cover a broad spectrum of business activity:

Innovation and Knowledge Transfer: for companies that have developed cutting-edge solutions over the past five years, with special attention to their collaboration with research centers and universities.

Industrial development: focused on companies that have significantly contributed to strengthening the Andalusian industrial sector, promoting job creation and infrastructure.

Startups: recognizes the most promising and disruptive emerging initiatives, assessing their potential for sustainable growth and their ability to solve problems with creative solutions.

International Development: It rewards companies that have excelled in their expansion and consolidation strategy in foreign markets.

Invest in Andalusia: a category dedicated to foreign companies that have made substantial investments in the region, contributing to local development.

Business background: A tribute to the work of firms or entrepreneurs with exemplary track records, who have established themselves as leaders in their respective sectors thanks to their strategic vision and adaptability.
The selection of the winning companies will be carried out in a process of two phases, one provincial and one regional. In the first phase, juries from each of the eight Andalusian provinces, made up mainly of members of the private sector, will choose one finalist for each category. Subsequently, a regional jury, chaired by the head of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and European Funds, will select the final winners.
Although the awards do not have a monetary endowment, the winning and finalist companies will receive a commemorative diploma They may use the titles "Winner" or "Finalist" for promotional purposes, benefiting from the outreach activities organized by Andalucía TRADE.
