Revenue from the provision of logistics services related to e-commerce operations recorded double-digit growth rates in 2015 and 2016.
According to INFORMA DBK Sectoral Observatory, the Provision of storage, transportation and distribution services linked to Internet business operations generated a business volume of 2016 1.100 million euros, reaching for the second consecutive year a rate of change in the range of 15 %.
In this sense, the E-commerce has maintained in the last two years a remarkable growth, favored by the good economic situation, the determined bet of the companies from different sectors for the online channel, the biggest consumer confidence in electronic transactions and the success of promotional campaigns for sale at certain times of the year.
El number of buyers through the Internet exceeded the 15 million in 2016 in the Spanish market, having increased at an average rate of almost one million per year in the last decade. For its part, the business volume generated by the e-commerce between businesses and individuals (B2C) could have exceeded 25.000 billion euros in 2016, after increasing in the last two years at annual rates of around 25%.

The forecasts for 2017 They place the growth of the e-commerce logistics market around the 18 % compared to the previous year, and may moderate in the following year until 15 %, which would result in a business volume of about 1.500 millones de euros.
The dynamism of online sales has motivated a significant Increase in the number of logistics operators and transport companies present in this area, as well as the creation of specific divisions to meet the strong expected growth of this type of operations.
It is also becoming more common for operators to have networks of collection points and automatic lockers, either their own or belonging to companies with which they have agreements. The logistics companies present in this business are experiencing a high and growing level of rivalry, highlighting the significant pressure on delivery times, shipping prices and returns management.
Top five companies/groups operating in the e-commerce logistics market gathered in 2016 a combined market share of 46,3%. This participation increased until 58,7 % when considering the top ten.
