He inaugurates a course for translators and interpreters in Spanish for the 2008 Olympic Games.
The Minister of Education and Science, Mercedes Cabrera, has inaugurated, in the Cervantes Institute from Beijing, the second phase of the Training Course for Translators and Interpreters of Spanish for the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. This course, which has a total of 97 students, was created with the aim of providing students from eight universities in Beijing and Tianjin with comprehensive training that will allow them to successfully face the challenge of translating and interpreting for the members of the Spanish Olympic Committee delegation during the Olympics. This is an initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science, channeled through the Higher Sports Council. Collaborators include the Deputy Directorate General of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Education the Embassy from Spain in China, the Cervantes Institute and the Spanish Olympic Committee.
