This effort has enabled Murcian entities to launch projects supported by European programmes and to develop actions for projects already approved.
The Minister of Business, Employment and Social Economy, Marisa LopezShe emphasized the importance of this office's role for entities in the Region: “Entities in the Region participating in European projects should feel ownership of the Office and make use of its team, infrastructure, and the institutional support it represents to other European partners.” She also stressed that “it is essential that we collaborate effectively to increase the visibility of our talent and technologies throughout Europe.”
During the first half of the year, the Office has carried out 26 advisory actions, helping to identify suitable funding programmes and to find European partners for joint projects.
It has also organized 11 meetings and seminars for ongoing projects, some of them at the headquarters of BrusselsIt has also sent 121 newsletters containing information on European regulations and opportunities in areas such as sustainability and business innovation.
The Region of Murcia, through Development Institute (Info), also has an active presence on key networks such as the European Network of Innovative Regions (ERRIN) and the European Association of Development Agencies (EURADA), which strengthens its dialogue with the European Commission. “We are clear about the importance of being actively present in Brussels, rigorously and proactively representing the full potential of the business and innovation ecosystem of the Region of Murcia,” added the Minister.
