Production in Venezuela would add to the production that the Portuguese company already has in Brazil.
The Portuguese company Galp Energía is studying the possibility of finalizing an agreement with Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) to carry out joint projects in the Latin American country, in the area of gas and oil exploration and production.
The company, led by Manuel Ferreira de Oliveira, explained in a statement that it is considering signing a memorandum of understanding with the Venezuelan oil company, which could be finalized next October.
Galp Energía intends for the Latin American country to become one of Portugal's main sources of oil imports.
