When the General Assembly of the Higher Council of Chambers of Commerce was held a few months ago, and several institutions and companies presented their internationalization plans, Manuel Teruel, head of Taim TFG, stated that "we design and manufacture cranes for ports and steel mills worldwide, and more than 60% of our revenue comes from abroad." Indeed, a growing number of companies are selling more abroad than domestically, due to the advantages offered by other countries, such as lower costs, lower wages, and well-developed logistics.
The company has 232 employees and operates in 40 countries. It is the result of a 1973 merger between two highly prestigious companies: TFG (Talleres Florencio Gómez), founded in 1899 and firmly established as a manufacturer of lifting and transport equipment, and TAIM (Talleres Auxiliares de la Industria Minera), created in 1953 and focused on promoting the mechanization of mining. Its evolution and growth over the years has been so remarkable that it has become one of the leading companies in Aragon and one of the largest exporters. Above all, it has been characterized by the innovative approach it introduces to its production processes. In this way, TAIM-TFG collaborates with national and international public and private entities, participating in global information and research initiatives.
New investment from Inagro
Teruel will soon have the new facilities of the company Inagro, dedicated to the production of dicalcium phosphate for the nutritional enrichment of animal feed. The Utrillas plant is expected to be a driving force in the Teruel mining region and has therefore benefited from the aid granted by the Government of Aragon through the Miner Plan.
In a second phase, Inagro planned its expansion abroad with the production of monocalcium phosphate, an important opportunity to internationalize the company.
Sanz Crankshafts, an export-oriented approach
The company was founded over 50 years ago by Vicente Irache Torres and is now one of the leading Aragonese companies with an international presence. Dedicated to the manufacture of crankshafts, it is a pioneer in Spain's export-oriented approach, establishing itself in major global markets from an early stage. Notably, it exports approximately 95% of its total production.
It has a 10.000 m2 industrial manufacturing plant, including warehouses and offices, and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and highly qualified personnel.
