Within the framework of the III Africa Plan
During the meeting, future initiatives and issues that will be given more importance within the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union related to Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as the implementation of the Africa Plan, were discussed.

On July 18, the president of CEOE International, Marta Blanco, participated in the Official Meeting of the Africa table in the framework of III Africa Plan at the headquarters of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. This meeting was chaired by the Director General for Africa, Alicia Rico.
To continue promoting the activity of Spanish companies in Africa, we must continue working hand in hand with the Government in High Level Travel and Visits, through the celebration of activities during them.
During the meeting, future initiatives and issues that will be given more importance within the framework of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union related with Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as the execution of the Africa Plan. Likewise, other topics were discussed such as the monitoring of the Action Plan for the Promotion of Spanish business presence and investment in Senegal and the Evaluation of the Third Africa Plan carried out by the Institute for Public Policy Evaluation. Jointly, a review of the thematic consultations carried out within the framework of this instrument was carried out.
During his speech on behalf of the Private and Business Sector Group, the president of CEOE International highlighted the comprehensive approach of the Africa Roundtable and the complementarity of the working groups, which highlights the importance of public-private cooperation.
Likewise, he highlighted the transformative role of companies in sub-Saharan Africa in matters such as the green and digital transition.
On the other hand, he pointed out that Spain has important challenges in the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, among them, launching the Global Gateway initiative with specific projects.
