La Murcia has launched an ambitious initiative to strengthen its position in the European gourmet products market. The event, organized by the Development Institute (Info), will have an exclusive showcooking and commercial interviews that will allow Murcian companies to present their products to potential clients and importers.
The director of Info, Joaquin Gomez, highlighted the importance of the Belgian and European markets for Murcian products: “Belgium and the European market have segments of the population that are very interested in high-quality gourmet products, and companies from the region have a lot to offer”He also stressed that “The regional government is actively working to facilitate their access to markets that offer business opportunities”.
Among the most popular products are extra virgin olive oils, sausages, wines, preserves, cheeses and artisanal sweets. During the event in Brussels, a Spanish chef and a Belgian chef will prepare different menus using these Murcian ingredients to highlight their quality and authenticity.
