OPDE Group faces its expansion in Italy and Greece
The multinational chemical company La Seda de Barcelona has submitted a binding offer to buy two factories from the US group Eastman Chemical for 180 million euros, the company informed the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).
This operation, which was already planned and will be financed through the capital increase of 439,5 million euros fully covered in mid-July, will allow La Seda to consolidate its growth in PTA and PET, raw materials intended for the production of plastic packaging.
A binding offer has been submitted to acquire Eastman Chemical's plants in Rotterdam (Netherlands) and Workington (United Kingdom). In addition to China, the OPDE Group is expanding in Italy and Greece.
