Indra technology will support landings at international airports in Fiji

The company closes an agreement with AirportsFijiLtd. to install ILS and DME systems at Nadi and Nausori airports.

Indra has closed an agreement with AirportsFiji Ltd. (AFL) to install new systems to support landing maneuvers at international airports of Nadi yy Nausori for an amount of 6 million FJ$ or about 2,7 million€.

 

Indra's instrument landing systems have guided more than 100 million safe landings on more than 1.200 runways around the world.

 

The company will renew the instrument landing systems and the equipment that supports aircraft in calculating the distance to the runway threshold (ILS/DME) currently in operation in Nadi. In the case of nauseaThe company will equip this airport with technology it did not have until now.

 

 

This technology will improve the safety with which they can operate in low visibility or adverse weather conditions.

 

 

These systems will help both airports to operate more safely in low visibility conditions, adverse weather and at night, thus being able to manage more traffic which results in higher revenues.

 

Both airports will have a technology that Indra has implemented in Sydney, London Heathrow or Singapore, among other references.
