In addition, Poncela highlights the crucial role of emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, in the transformation of international business models.

The document also notes the rise of the Sustainability as a determining factor, driven by global commitments such as the Paris Agreement and Agenda 2030Spanish companies, most of them SMEs, must prepare for this new environment through a combination of technological adaptation and sustainability.

Among the recommendations for the Spanish case, Poncela insists that “Administrations must define regulations that help and do not hinder the competitiveness of companies”, advocating for a more efficient and less bureaucratic regulatory framework that allows SMEs to adapt and take advantage of the opportunities of this new global context.
