The Zaragoza SME of the Year Award, promoted by the Chamber of Commerce and Banco Santander, already has a winner.
The Zaragoza Chamber of Commerce has awarded the SME of the year award to Fútbol Emotion. The Aragonese company is a specialist distributor of football sports equipment and last year it had a turnover of 34 million euros. Almost half of its income comes from online sales and it is the sector leader in Spain and Portugal.
“We have a history of 20 years and we are a totally digital company that pays a lot of attention to data and technology. Now we have focused on internationalization because ecommerce has no limits and is a way to continue growing and make a difference with the competition," he explained. Carlos Sánchez, CEO of Fútbol Emotion.
44 companies participated in this sixth edition of the awards, of which five finalists were chosen. For its selection, the jury has taken into account, among other merits, job creation, international activity or digitalization.
“These are leading companies in Aragon and there are many more like them. I am sure that it will have been difficult for the jury to make the decision. We are proud to have such a varied business network, from so many sectors and that contribute so much to the economy, wealth and society in general,” said Jorge Villarroya, president of Cámara Zaragoza.
The rest of the award-winning companies are Abora Solar, BTV, Panel Sandwich and Ingennus that have received the second prizes for Digitalization, Internationalization, Training and Employment and Responsible Company respectively.
At the awards ceremony they have seen their work in Digitalization, Internationalization, Training and Employment and Responsible Business recognized.
