The Minister of Innovation, Industry, Trade and Tourism, Nuria Montes, has highlighted the "significant commitment" of Valencian companies to internationalization, in a context marked by geopolitical tensions and the slowdown of world trade.

Despite the decrease in exports, the Valencian Community has maintained a positive trade balance of 1.189 million euros and a coverage rate of 114%. Among the sectors that have experienced positive growth, food and beverages stand out, with an increase of 2,1% and a contribution of 0,5 points to total growth.

 

“Companies are doing a commendable job, achieving an export value that is the second highest in the historical series for the first quarter of the year,” highlighted Montes.

 

La European Union It continues to be the main destination of Valencian exports, concentrating 60,3% of the total. France, Germany and Italy They are the three main destination countries, with a value of 1.282,8 million, 1.067,3 million and 862,3 million euros, respectively.

 

Exports by province have experienced decreases in all three: Valencia has exported a value of 5.524 million (-8%), Castellon for 2.391,9 million (-7,2%) and Alicante for 1.750,7 million (-10,3%).

 

The Department of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism has reiterated its commitment to supporting Valencian companies in their internationalization process. Through different plans, programs and financial aid, the Ministry seeks to facilitate the exit abroad of Valencian companies and contribute to their growth and competitiveness.
