This team has joined the specialists already present at the firm to support the development and launch of its new premium slab collection, Mediterranean Stone, in the more than 100 markets in which this multinational leader in the sector is present.

In this positive line, consolidation in historical markets such as Spain and Portugal, as well as the strong progress in regions such as USA, Latin America and the Middle East, have marked the results of this division of Levantina Group in the first months of the year.

“Mediterranean Stone is our main project in the natural stone segment and we believe it will be one of the growth drivers for the company in markets such as the US, Europe and the Middle East,” explains Patrices Pages.

Mediterranean Stone, premium natural stone with international success

The reinforcement of Levantina Group's marble division, which included the appointment of Patrice Pages as the new director of Mining and Marble in 2022, he has been key to the launch of Mediterranean Stone, the company's new line of premium natural stone. This line marked the group's first major launch in 2023, after intense conceptualization and design work that has allowed the company to create an exclusive catalog of sustainable marbles and limestones for exterior and interior use. Just five months after its presentation, this collection has become an international success for the firm, becoming part of the portfolio of large distributors in the natural stone sector.

La sustainability It has also been a key element in the creation of Mediterranean Stone, which stands out for being 100% recyclable and using completely renewable energy and reused water for its production. Its main properties include its low porosity and ability to reflect high temperatures, typical of the materials used in the Mediterranean region to naturally maintain a comfortable temperature in homes.

“Mediterranean Stone is our main project in the natural stone segment and we think it will be one of the growth levers for the company in markets such as USA, Europe and the Middle East. Inspiration in Mediterranean architecture has allowed us to create a selection of marbles and limestones that stand out for their visual purity and warm tones to create cozy and natural environments. They are products from our quarries, which undoubtedly allows us to differentiate ourselves from other proposals and offer exclusivity,” he explains. Patrices Pages, general director of Mining and Marble of Levantina Group.

Renewed commitment to own quarries

The reinforcement of the mining division of Levantina Group has also brought with it an increase of up to 10% in the production of all quarries owned by Levantina Group during the last year, thus recovering a growth dynamic that had been slowed down after the strong impact that the pandemic and the subsequent consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian war had on the sector. On the other hand, at the end of 2022 the group restarted its productive activity in its Spanish quarries.

“For Levantina Group, marble is a differential product, both due to our production capacity and the six decades of experience in the treatment of natural stone that the group has. The last few years have been complicated for the entire sector due to the context of the health crisis, the increase in energy costs and the inflationary trend, but we have managed to return to the path of growth by being faithful to our philosophy: exclusivity, quality and sustainability through from our own quarries, a deep knowledge of the industry,” concludes Patrice Pages.
