More and more young people are contacting agencies because they have decided to complete their training abroad with the aim of differentiating your resume.
Most agencies that manage programs outside of Europe They assist and inform young people on how to process their visas, give advice on customs or introductions to the culture of the destination.
At the agency Travel Work, with more than 20 years operating since Barcelona, are very clear that in recent years the needs of young Spaniards have changed. “Today Isla Mauritius, China, Australia, Canada and England are the most popular destinations for participants of Travel Work, a reality that demonstrates how the expectations and objectives of students have been changing," says its director, Eva Sabater, after explaining that “young people are increasingly looking for more distant destinations to be able to differentiate their professional CVs.”

Many travelworkers already have experience in Europe and they are looking for second, third and even fourth international experiences to acquire new values and experiences. “At 13 to 16 years old many have already participated in language campuses or exchanges, at 16 to 17 years old they have done professional internships in shops, offices, restaurants or customer service, combining it with English courses or not, it is their first contact with the working world, but from 18 to 23 years old they start looking for jobs or professional internships for the summer, they want to combine their experiences with their studies and some even start doing three-week humanitarian stays in countries such as Thailand, India, Nepal, Vietnam or Sri Lanka, with the aim of enhancing their personal growth,” he explains. Eva Sabater, who adds that "in recent years, young university students and recent graduates are contacting us in search of international internships to continue their training, some must do compulsory internships and want to stand out, they tend to hire the most distant programs, such as those we offer in Isla Mauritius, China, Canada, USA or Australia".
Young Spaniards are no longer afraid of flying. According to a study by the Queen Sofia Center for Adolescence and Youth, more than half of Spaniards believe that they will have to emigrate for work in the coming years, a consequence of an unemployment rate of 35,7% among young people aged 20 to 29. According to Travel WorkThese young people are required to have a good level of languages if they want to opt for qualified jobs, and that is why the agency has a working method that consists of analyzing each candidate very carefully in order to offer them a totally personalized program.
“Sometimes we get young people who lack a language level and from the agency we help them, financially, to improve it. We also get other participants who have very normal CVs and we offer them options to differentiate themselves. In other cases we have young people who are looking to start in another field of work or in a quick way, and we help them find a job in another country, it is through our companies where they get it, they need a little push and we give it to them. We like to be a help on everyone's path to achieve their goal,” explains the director. Eva Sabater.
During these more than two decades of hard work, Travel Work has realized that most of the program participants are returning to the agency to start new adventures. This is happening thanks to the complementary and personalized products that are offered and the creation of new programs, such as the star program that is making Travel Work unique.
