Madrid sees Paraguay and Chile as bridges for business expansion

These initiatives, which will take place in June and July respectively, seek to facilitate the entry and growth of Madrid-based companies in these strategic destinations, taking advantage of the favorable economic climate and competitive advantages offered by both countries.

The objective is to provide companies in Madrid with the tools and support necessary to explore and consolidate their presence in international markets with high growth potential such as Paraguay and Chile.

Companies interested in expanding their international horizons have until April 24 to register.

The program focused on Chile, which will take place from June 25 to 27, highlights the strengths of a country with 20 million inhabitants and a stable economy with a growth forecast of 2.5% for 2025 (according to the World Bank). Its open trade, legal security, and diversified economy, supported by multiple free trade agreements, make it an attractive destination for foreign investment. Key sectors such as infrastructure, machinery, renewable energy, engineering, consulting, healthcare, biotechnology, and consumer goods offer a wide range of opportunities for Madrid-based companies.

On the other hand, the initiative to Paraguay, which will take place from June 30 to July 1, highlights the dynamism of an emerging economy with a growth forecast of 4% for this year (World Bank). Its macroeconomic stability, tax incentives, competitive costs and its strategic location in the Mercosur positioning it as a key logistics hub in the region. The sectors with potential are similar to those in Chile, opening up a wide range of opportunities for Madrid-based companies.

Both programs offer participating companies the opportunity to build strategic relationships with local clients and partners through personalized meeting agendas. They also include individualized counseling and financial assistance supported by the Madrid City Council.
