Madrid Leaders Forum, a boost to the business and management community of the capital

 

The event, a private initiative promoted by the Madrid Business Confederation CEIM-CEOE and the consultant MB Communication, brings together industry leaders and representatives for two days to discuss and present their perspectives on the current economic outlook.

 

The president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Madrid, Angel AsensioHe was in charge of closing the inaugural session, highlighting the forum's relevance as a fundamental tool for companies seeking to understand the strategies of top leaders in an environment where information is vital for decision-making. During his speech, Asensio focused on the small and medium enterprises (SMEs)She described them as "the ones that sustain the present." She emphasized that in the Community of Madrid, SMEs represent 99.8% of the business fabric and more than 62% of the private sector's Gross Value Added. "They are the real foundation upon which our cities, neighborhoods, and opportunities are built; because they embody talent, effort, and resilience," she stressed.

"This has allowed Madrid to consolidate its position as an economic and employment engine for Spain, contributing almost 20% of the national GDP and attracting one out of every four euros of investment in the country and seven out of every ten euros of foreign direct investment, in addition to the fact that nearly 80 companies are created in the region every day," Asensio emphasized.
