The first international business HUB between Europe and Latin America becomes an important platform for the presentation of investment plans and opportunities
The HUB was created to cover the need for a natural meeting space for companies from Europe and Latin America and proposes to Madrid as a strategic business nexus for both continents. The project, which has the active support of the Madrid City Council, has woven a business network that allows SMEs from different sectors to connect through one-on-one meetings to explore real business opportunities as well as to gather the opinions of more than 350 panelists and experts on entrepreneurship, investment and internationalization of companies from the so-called “new normal”.
A meeting that has an online platform for connecting companies designed to promote the synergies of SMEs from different sectors and countries, especially in the Ibero-American and European sphere and which has been attended by a total of more than 5.000 people (in person and virtual) under all the COVID prevention guarantee, thanks to the partner in management of the COVID in companies, Democratest.
In order of intervention at the closing of the first edition of Madrid Platform, the Vice Mayor of Madrid, Begoña Villacís, in the Centro Centro Auditorium of the Palacio de Cibeles, pointed out: “We are going to return with Madrid Platform next year, and what is more important, we are connecting Europe and Latin America with Madrid as a link between both.”
For its part, Reyes Maroto noted: “The topics and challenges that have been discussed in the Madrid Platform forums are the challenges that the Government of Spain has put on his agenda. Betting on the economy, on ecology, on digitalization and on business. Spain and Latin America have to work together to achieve these objectives to build the future.”

Madrid Platform, aware from the beginning of the need to bring together experts and representatives of the most influential agents around the pillars that may affect the international Business, has organized an ambitious content program – and whose recordings are available openly on the HUB's website and YouTube channel – which has already established it in its first edition as a benchmark for international business debate, more specifically in the topics encompassed in four verticals of conversation: Human Rights, Ecological Transition, International Business and Digital Disruption.
In addition, Madrid Platform has simultaneously hosted group and private business sessions – 9 in total – in the Ágora, space reserved for different SMEs to present their viable business projects with an international vocation to 20 potential investors who had already confirmed their interest in the project. The HUB has also already confirmed +1500 business meetings for participating companies, of which the business roundtables or one-on-one meetings stand out that registered companies will be able to hold from the beginning of the event until the end of 2021. The HUB anticipates that, thanks to its business closing formats with a closed agenda, these meetings will have a success rate of more than 60% in terms of creating international synergies, among the more than 600 registered companies and institutions from the more than 20 countries represented at the event.
