For more than two decades, MedaLogistics has established itself as the premier meeting, connection, and investment space for the Mediterranean logistics community. The 2025 edition will be no exception, offering a comprehensive program that includes six keynote addresses focused on the sector's current and future challenges, new avenues for intraregional cooperation, and the identification of emerging business opportunities.
The first day of the summit will be structured around two key sessions. The first, entitled "The Mediterranean: A strategic axis for world trade", organized in collaboration with the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), will explore the geopolitical and economic importance of the Mediterranean as a link between three continents, highlighting its fundamental role in driving global trade. The second session, "The future of the Mediterranean supply chain: Digital & Green Transformation"In collaboration with Tenders and Escola Europea – Intermodal Transport, the event will delve into the transformative impact of digitalization and the transition to more sustainable models in the Mediterranean supply chain, with the aim of increasing efficiency, resilience and environmental responsibility.
The second day of MedaLogistics will open with the session “Navigating the transformation of the Mediterranean maritime sector”, which will feature the collaboration of the National Association of Electric Boats (ANBE). This discussion space will focus on the pressing challenges facing the maritime sector in the region, including the adoption of technological innovations, the implementation of sustainable practices, and adaptation to a new regulatory framework. The summit will then delve into the African continent with the session “Harnessing the potential of Africa’s logistics infrastructure”In collaboration with Escola Europea – Transporte Intermodal, experts in the field will analyze the vast opportunities offered by Africa's logistics infrastructure, highlighting investment potential, ongoing modernization efforts, and growing regional connectivity. The following conference, “EMEA Rail & Metro Projects 2025”, organized in collaboration with the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, will offer a detailed overview of the major rail and metro projects in the EMEA region through 2025, with a focus on infrastructure development, investment opportunities, and sustainable mobility solutions.
The afternoon of the second day will be dedicated to two highly relevant sessions. The first, "Leading the change: Women are transforming logistics", in collaboration with the Association of Mediterranean Businesswomen's Organizations (AFAEMME) and Tennders, will address the crucial topic of female empowerment in the logistics sector. Successful strategies and initiatives to promote gender diversity and inclusion in a traditionally male-dominated industry will be discussed. The final session, "Public-private partnerships in the transport and logistics sector: Mediterranean – Middle East – Africa", will be a B2B meeting space where experts from diverse sectors and countries will explore successful collaboration models, joint investment opportunities, and strategies for the sustainable development of logistics in the region.
