Mitsubishi Electric is interested in the Port of Valencia

Valenciaport handled 184.608 tons of goods with Japan

The delegation, which arrived accompanied by Arola executives, showed interest in learning about the security and cargo control systems of the Port of Valencia.

Valenciaport has received a visit from a delegation made up of representatives of Mitsubishi Electric directors of Arola.

 

The delegation, headed by Masataka Yamaguchi, Head of Strategic Operations, Masanori Shinozaki, Equipment and Environment Manager, Erika Nishimura, Strategic Operations Coordinator, and Minoru Kawaguchi, director of Logistics Strategy of Mitsubishi Electric Europe respectively, she arrived accompanied by the CEO of Arola, Carlos Arola, the corporate manager, Ramon Aparicio and the Business Development Manager, Roger Pallares.

 

 

Following a presentation on the Guarantee Mark, the delegation visited the APMTV terminal.

 

 

The meeting, whose purpose was to publicize the security and merchandise control systems developed by the Port of Valencia, has been attended to by Manuel Guerra, Commercial and Business Development Director of the Port Authority of Valencia (APV), and by Emilio Aliaga, Director of the Warranty BrandDuring his presentation, Emilio Aliga has highlighted the fundamental role that the Warranty Brand and that allows the Port of Valencia to achieve its objectives and the established quality standards. Furthermore, Aliaga emphasized that this system is one of the most important tools in terms of innovation, and that it has been implemented in other ports in countries such as Ecuador, Chile, Colombia or Peru.

 

Finally, the delegation moved to the APM terminal of Port of Valencia in which Miguel MarinCommercial director, accompanied by  Mariko YasumitsuThe Deputy Director explained how the facility works and showed the different security and control systems in place.

 

Traffic with Japan

 

At the end of 2016, Valenciaport channeled a total of 184.608 tons of goods with JapanOf these, 101.091 tons were allocated to the exporting 60.874 tons to the import and 22.643 tons were in transit. Regarding the container trafficJapan has been the origin/destination of 13.464 TEUs handled by Valenciaport during 2016. Of these, 8.854 were exports, 2.863 were imports and 1.747 were moved under transit regime.

 

By ports, the movements with the enclosures of Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Aichi and Kobe.
