Moldtrans is committed to growth in Madrid with the appointment of Alejandro Moldes and new logistics facilities

 

El Moldtrans Group, a comprehensive operator of international land, sea, air transport, national distribution, island transport, logistics, trade fair logistics and customs, has announced the appointment of Alejandro Moldes as the new Director of its Madrid Office. This strategic appointment aims to consolidate and expand the services that the company offers in central Spain, a region that has experienced significant growth in the logistics and transport sector in recent years.

 

Alejandro Moldes, with a solid background in Spain and Ireland, has a Master's Degree in Port Management and Intermodal Transport from ICAI-ICADE, as well as higher education studies in transport and logistics. His career in the Moldtrans Group began in 2010, and since then he has held various responsibilities, highlighting his leadership in the growth and consolidation of the Insular Transport Division over the last seven years. Under his leadership, Moldtrans has achieved a relevant position in the logistics and transport sector with the Canary Islands, where it has branches in Las Palmas and Tenerife, and provides regular services with Balearics, as well as with Ceuta and Melilla.

 

 

This commitment to Madrid reflects Moldtrans' commitment to the central region of Spain, an important logistics hub on the national and international scene.

 

 

In his new role as Director of the Madrid Delegation, Alejandro Moldes will lead the consolidation and expansion of transport and logistics activities in the peninsular centre. To this end, the construction of modern 17.000 m2 facilities for logistics and cross docking operations is planned. Torrejón de ArdozThis investment will significantly expand the operational capacity of the branch in the region to meet the growing demand for logistics and transportation services.

 

The Moldtrans Group's presence in Madrid dates back to the 1980s, establishing a branch shortly after its foundation. Today, the Moldtrans Madrid branch offers a wide range of services, including: international land transport, national distribution, air and sea transport, express transport services, logistics solutions and customs.

 

The Community of Madrid has established itself as an important logistics hub in Spain, hosting more than 36.000 companies dedicated to logistics and transport, which represents approximately 7% of the regional Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and employs more than 200.000 people, according to data from the Community of Madrid.
