El Moldtrans Group, a leading Spanish operator of international land, sea, air, national distribution, logistics, trade fair logistics and customs, has been present as a sponsor and speaker at the latest edition of the European Breakfasts with Innovation, Growth and New Technologies. The event took place on October 6 at the headquarters of the European Commission in Spain in Madrid and had the participation of representatives of this organization, the European Chambers of Commerce in Spain, as well as prominent companies from the automotive, mobility, financial and naval sectors, who shared their experiences together with the Moldtrans Group.

 

With the title “European Transit, Transport, Technology, Sustainability (air, sea and land)”, the event addressed the current challenges posed by the transport and logistics sector in a context marked by geopolitical tensions that affect the price of energy and raw materials, in addition to putting strain on supply chains.

 

The day included an institutional opening by Lucas Gonzalez Ojeda, Deputy Director of the European Commission in Spain, and Andrés Fornes Redondo, president of the European Chambers of Commerce in Spain. The main interventions were made Adrian Muelas Gil, Advisor to the Technical Cabinet of the General Secretariat of Transport and Mobility of the European Union; Antonio Tricas, assigned to said General Secretary and expert in the EU Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility Strategy; and Carlos Fernandez, Director of Operations of the Moldtrans Group.

 

Carlos Fernández explained the positioning and strategy of the Moldtrans Group, under the motto “Moving forward together, commitment to the future” and how an SME can become an international operator with more than 500 employees, a wide network of correspondents around the world. and a constantly growing turnover figure. He also highlighted the company's efforts to adapt to new market demands through initiatives in the field of digitalization and sustainability.

The event continued with a round table moderated by ruben esteller, deputy director of elEconomista, in which the following participated: Nuria Álvarez, Electromobility Manager at Volvo Group; Miguel Melchor, Head of Urban Mobility at Abertis Mobility Services; Margarita Sánchez de la Rosa Martin, Head of the Tax Department of Abacus Accounting; Donia Razazi, Senior Industry Expert at Ayming; and Maria Castro, Commercial Manager of the Naval Construction Department of the Navantia group. Finally, a coffee and networking session was held with all participants.
