'Murcia Food Brokerage Event' frames more than 500 interviews for agri-food technological exchange

La XI edition of the 'Murcia Food Brokerage Event' celebrates its first day in the Víctor Villegas Auditorium in Murcia and will allow its participants to find partners for European projects and promote the exchange of technologies in the agri-food sector. More than 500 job interviews are planned throughout the day within the framework of this event organized by the Development Institute (INFO) and the National Conservation Technology Center. Furthermore, this business meeting is complemented with the 'XI International Symposium on Food Technology', which will feature conferences and presentations of the latest developments in the sector.

El director of INFO, Joaquín Gómez, noted that “the holding of more than 500 interviews shows the importance and capacity of the sector in attracting companies and interested entities from all over Europe, in addition to some other countries that move in the European orbit of research and cooperation.” .

 

With the passing of the editions, The event has become significantly internationalized. As an example of the interest it generates, it is worth noting that 75% of the companies have been regularly attending the different editions

 

The final number of participating companies exceeds one hundred, from 26 different countries, with the purpose of finding partners for transnational projects and access aid granted by public bodies, as well as increase cooperation to develop technological innovations of products or processes in the agri-food sector, in addition to serving as a privileged observatory for technological surveillance, as a mechanism to know where trends in the sector are going.

'Murcia Food Brokerage Event' It began in 2003 and has been characterized mainly by the quality of the profiles of the attending companies. The event is increasingly known in the business world and companies are increasingly coming more prepared to bilateral meetings, thus increasing the possibilities of reaching cooperation agreements. In fact, with the passing of the editions, The event has become significantly internationalized. As an example of the interest it generates, it should be noted that 75 percent of the companies have been regularly attending the different editions.

Regarding the 'XI International Symposium on Food Technology', issues related to the hygienic design of facilities and food safety will be addressed; authentication of food products; fast control systems, etc. On this occasion, the event is held in a hybrid way, combining in-person and online meetings. Next week, on May 15 and 16, the meetings are scheduled to be held through a platform.

The event is organized by el Development Institute of the Region of Murcia and the Enterprise Europe Network, with the collaboration of the National Technological Center for Preservation and Food, within the framework of the Research and Innovation Strategy for Intelligent and Sustainable Specialization 2021-2027 (RIS4 Region of Murcia).
