A new aerospace giant is born: Sonaca and Aciturri join forces in Europe.

This alliance is not just a business merger, but the birth of a independent actor of global significance, which is positioned as the third most important in the aeronautical structures sector.

The key to this agreement lies in the perfect complementarity of both companies. Sonaca contributes its global leadership in metal structures, while Aciturri contributes with its solid experience in composite materials technology, essential for developing lighter and, therefore, more sustainable aircraft.

The new entity has marked three priority areas for their joint action:

  1. Accelerating decarbonization of civil aviation through more efficient technologies.

  2. Strengthening security and strategic autonomy of European defense.

  3. Boosting industrial competitiveness through a global commercial network and a robust technological base.

The resulting industrial group is projected to have more than 6.700 employees, a presence in seven countries, and combined revenues of €1.200 billion by 2025.
