Navarre strengthens ties with China: Chivite begins her official trip to Beijing with meetings and business visits to intensify exchange

During the first two days of her trip, President Chivite, accompanied by the Minister of Energy Transition and Digital Business, Mikel Irujo Amezaga, has held key meetings in Beijing.

Institutional Strengthening and Shared Vision

It began with a working session with the 'China Council for the promotion of international Trade' (CCPIT), led by its vice president, Li XingqianAt this meeting, President Chivite emphasized the importance of the moment: "On the 20th anniversary of institutional relations between Navarre and China, the time has come to strengthen mutual understanding and move towards new forms of business collaboration."

Chivite highlighted a "similar vision of the future" that both regions share, based on the premise that prosperity is intrinsically linked to business development.

Later, the Navarrese leader met with Ma HuiVice Minister for International Liaison of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. Before him, the President defended the need to maintain a stable institutional relationship between the Spanish and Chinese local authorities.

In the business sphere, the delegation focused on the sector of automotiveThis is a strategic area for Navarre, boasting one of the most comprehensive value chains in Europe. The visits aimed to learn about the advancements in Chinese industry, which is particularly dynamic in the field of electrification.

The delegation visited the production plants of Xiaomi Car y Li car in Beijing, highlighting its high degree of automation. They also held a meeting with representatives of the brand. XPENG extension, Volkswagen Group's Chinese partner, in order to gain a greater understanding of the local market.

Complementing these activities, Councillor Irujo, together with the Director General of Business Development, Iñigo Arruti Torre, they met with the CSCEC Group, focused on the urban development of industrial land, opening a path of exploration in this area.
