The 50 Plus Beurs fair was held in Utrecht
Navarra's tourism offerings were showcased with a stand at the fifth edition of the 50 Plus Beurs fair held in the Dutch town of Utrecht, between September 19 and 23.
This is the first time the Navarre region has participated in this event, and its participation is part of the promotional activities undertaken by the Department of Culture and Tourism to attract foreign visitors to Navarre. This effort has been particularly focused on the Dutch and Belgian markets throughout 2007.
The characteristics of a large sector of the Dutch population, over fifty years old and with high purchasing power, with a large amount of free time and a demand for uncrowded tourist destinations, make Navarre a very attractive region.
The Foral Community, within the pavilion of the fair dedicated to travel, has participated with a 20 square meter exhibitor; in it, visitors could find a varied tourist offer based mainly on the Camino de Santiago, rural tourism, culture in nature, bird watching, gastronomy, etc.
