Neoenergia completes a new section of the Alto Paranaíba Transmission Line in Brazil

The completion of this phase included the expansion of the Arinos II and Paracatu IV substations, adding 819 MVar of capacity. In addition, a 500 kV transmission line was built, spanning 794 towers. This high-voltage infrastructure connects seven key municipalities in the region: Arinos, Bonfinópolis de Minas, Dom Bosco, Natalândia, Paracatu, Riachinho and Unaí.

The project Alto Paranaíba Its main objective is to improve the connection between the northern region of Minas Gerais and the state of São Paulo. With the growing expansion of renewable energy in Brazil, these structural works are vital to ensuring the transmission grid can handle demand and efficiently transport the generated energy.

According to Neoenergia, the remaining phases of the project will be delivered by the end of this year, further consolidating the region's energy infrastructure and contributing to the country's sustainable development.
