Brazil's energy landscape continues to move toward a more sustainable future. Recently, Auren Energy, a key player in the sector, has placed its trust in the Nordex Group's cutting-edge technology to expand its wind generation capacity. The signed contract includes the installation of 19 state-of-the-art turbines, which will provide an additional 112 MW to the Cajuína wind farm, specifically in its third phase, located in the municipality of Lajes, Rio Grande do Norte.
This agreement not only includes the supply and installation of the turbines, but also an initial 15-year maintenance contract, with options to extend up to 30 years. This guarantees the long-term operation and efficiency of the wind farm. It is worth noting that Nordex has already demonstrated its ability in previous projects to Auren Energy, supplying and installing 120 N163/5.X turbines, totaling 684 MW in the Cajuína 1 and 2 wind farms.
The selection of the N163/5.X turbines for this project underscores Auren Energía's commitment to the most efficient and reliable technology available on the market. These turbines will be installed on 120-meter-high concrete towers, maximizing the use of the region's wind resources. Installation of the turbines is expected to begin in early 2026, with the wind farm expected to enter operation in the fall of the same year.
