OHLA, a leading global construction company, has announced the awarding of new projects in Florida St for a combined value of nearly 160 million euros (170 million dollars).

 

Among the most notable projects in the field of unique construction is the construction of an exclusive seven-story residential building with 45 luxury apartments in Bay Harbor Islands, located in the county of Miami-Dade. This high-end residential project joins others with similar characteristics that OHLA is already developing in Florida Stand One Thousand Museum in Miami or the Aria on the Bay in Brickell.

 

In the civil works section, OHLA will carry out various projects aimed at improving safety and fluidity on the state's highways. One of the most relevant will be the optimization of more than 20 kilometers of the highway in the county of glades, with the aim of accommodating the expected increase in vehicle traffic.

 

Likewise, in southwest Florida, in Lee County, OHLA will undertake the expansion of Ortiz Avenue from two to four lanes. This project will also include drainage improvements, installation of stormwater management systems, removal and relocation of existing utilities, construction of new water and sewer mains, and creation of new bike lanes, trails , sidewalks and street lighting along the corridor.

 

The awarding of these new projects in Florida represents a new milestone in OHLA's history in the United States, reaffirming its commitment to the development of modern and sustainable infrastructure

The awarding of these new contracts consolidates OHLA's presence in the United States, a strategic market for the company since its arrival in 2006. Currently, OHLA operates in Florida, New York, California, Maryland, Massachusetts and Illinois, where it develops large-scale projects such as the Purple Line Light Rail in Maryland, the I-5 North County Improvements in California or the South Corridor Bus Rapid Transit in Florida. Recently, the MTA awarded him improvements in 13 subway stations in New York, the second largest contract in the Group's portfolio after the Purple Line Light Rail.

 

This determined commitment to the US market has placed OHLA as one of the main players in the sector in the country.
