opentop, Valenciaport Logistics-Port Innovation Hub, has presented OpenTalks, a series of video podcasts designed to become a benchmark in disseminating the latest trends in the sector. This initiative was born with the aim of creating a bridge between the disruptive vision of startups and the consolidated experience of large corporations and port institutions.
The project, which already has 15 episodes recorded, addresses highly topical and globally relevant issues, such as port sustainability, the blue economy, the terminal automation, and the digitalization of logistics processes. In addition, emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence applied to ports, the cybersecurity in critical infrastructure and energy transition solutionsThe episodes, with an international focus, feature the participation of more than 35 outstanding professionals from the port ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, managers, and maritime technology experts.
Episodes will be released weekly on Opentop's YouTube channel. Although the main content is presented in Spanish, English subtitles have been added to expand its global reach. In addition, Opentop plans to record six additional international episodes that will later be translated into Spanish.
This project is part of the Communication Plan of the Port Entrepreneurship International Congress (PEIC), an international congress that will be held on October 22 in Valencia, within the framework of the VDS, and which has the support of the Department of Innovation, Industry, Commerce and Tourism.
Antonio Torregrosa, general director of the Valenciaport Foundation, stressed the importance of the initiative: “OpenTalks represents the firm commitment of our Opentop initiative to generate a new, contemporary and dynamic communication format that disseminates port-logistics innovation from Valenciaport with an international perspective. We aim to strengthen Valencia's position as a global leader in the conversation about the future of ports and logistics, connecting local talent with global trends.".
For its part, George Mark, Opentop Lead Project Manager, highlighted the mission of the video podcast: “This initiative allows us to showcase truly interesting projects and startups that are transforming the sector. OpenTalks fulfills one of Opentop's objectives: bringing startups closer to the real needs of the logistics and port sector, creating an effective communication bridge between emerging innovation and market demands.".
Opentop has thanked the collaboration of the professionals and managers of various entities that have participated in the video podcast, including the Port Authority of Valencia, the Valenciaport Foundation, and other companies and startups such as APM Terminals, Balearia, Ciber TRS, Gravity Waves, Hydros power, Navlandis and Sensing Tools, among others, which demonstrates the hub's extensive collaboration network.
