Opentop strengthens Valenciaport as a technological bridge between Europe and Latin America at a successful innovation event.

 

El emblematic Clock Building of Valencia has been the scene of a relevant meeting on logistics innovation which brought together more than sixty experts from the port community on both sides of the Atlantic. Held as a prelude to the World Forum of the World Organization of Cities and Logistics Platforms (WOCLP)This event has established itself as a key space for the exchange of knowledge and experiences between both continents.

 

The event was distinguished by the quality of its presentations, where international experts shared their views on crucial topics. The integration of Artificial Intelligence, the development of solutions oriented to the sustainability and traceability, and the change management to lead innovation in the supply chain.

 

One of the most relevant points of the meeting was the realization that the Challenges faced by the sector are common globally, underscoring the need for transatlantic collaboration to develop disruptive and global technological solutions that benefit the entire industry.

The event was opened by Juan Manuel Diez, Head of Innovation at the Port Authority of Valencia, who emphasized the city's strategic position: "It is an honor to host the innovation and entrepreneurship event prior to the World Forum. These types of initiatives highlight Valencia's position as international hub for open innovation in logistics and portsDíez also highlighted the crucial role of the collaboration between Opentop and NODO, emphasizing the "need to create spaces where the startups can align their innovations with the real demands of the global logistics and port ecosystem."

 

For its part, Ernesto PartalThe President of the OMCPL closed the event by encouraging participants to be "an active part of the international collaboration framework for logistics innovation that we are promoting through the World Organization of Logistics Cities and Platforms." Partal praised the diversity of attendees, stressing that the convergence of startupsEstablished companies and the logistics community of both continents generate a "quality networking that can be reinforced during the two days of the OMCPL World Forum."

 

The meeting featured high-level presentations by professionals such as José A. Giménez, Vice President of Logistop; Gabriel Orellana, Logistics Leader at the Pan American Games; Javier Villahermosa, Managing Director of DACHSER Southern Europe, and Ricardo José Ruiz Artavia from Fidélitas University of Costa Rica, who presented success stories in the implementation of innovative technologies.

 

Likewise, a space was dedicated to the most disruptive solutions in the sector, with presentations by startups , the Gandolapp, Passify, Standtrack, Navlandis, Kuarctech and Stowlog, which are revolutionizing various aspects of the port-logistics chain. The event, which also included the presentation of the Panama NODO OMCPL Logistics Innovation Center, concluded with a networking session that allowed participants to explore new collaboration opportunities.

 

This initiative, organized by Opentop, consolidates Valencia's position as a international meeting point for logistics innovation and lays the foundation for future alliances between Europe and Latin America, reaffirming the Valencian port's commitment to the technological transformation of the sector.
