After overcoming the difficulties caused by the pandemic, the increase in oil prices and the growth in global demand in recent years have boosted the country's economic recovery.

The WATER They remain a net importer of food products, although the country's efforts to boost its agri-food industry should be highlighted: In 2021, agri-food imports in the broadest sense (live animals, plants, food industry) exceeded US$18.850 billion, compared to exports in these categories of approximately US$15.100 billion, with the most prominent suppliers being... India, Brazil, USA, Australia and Saudi Arabia (35% of the total). Spain ranks 14th among agri-food exporters to the UAE, with 2,2% or USD 414 million in that year, with Andalusia contributing products worth almost USD 80 million.
