ORYZON, finalist in the prestigious European Lifestars Awards

 

Oryzon Genomics S.A., clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company and leader in the epigenetics sector at European level, has announced its nomination as a finalist in the European Lifestars Awards 2025. The recognition, in the category Post-IPO Raise of the Year For the European Mediterranean region, it highlights the success of its recent capital increase, which enabled it to raise 30 million euros.

 

The Lifestars Awards The 2018 Life Sciences Awards are a landmark event that brings together key figures from the European life sciences industry, including companies, investment funds, and investment banks. These awards celebrate outstanding achievements, recognizing those individuals, teams, and organizations that drive innovation, develop biomedical solutions, and shape the future of the sector. Oryzon's nomination is a reflection of the solid execution of a €30 million capital increase, an operation that was carried out in a particularly volatile market. The issue, which consisted of 12,76 million new shares at a price of €2,35 per share, was carried out at a 15,44% discount to the volume-weighted average price (VWAP) of the previous five days and a discount of 19,38% on the closing price of April 22, 2025.

 

The offer, structured as a direct equity without issuance of warrants, experienced strong demand, significantly exceeding the initial offering. A US institutional investor led the round with a contribution of €15 million, while the remaining demand came from investors from United States, Europe and SpainThe company limited the increase to 30 million euros, a decision made by its Board of Directors.

 

Since the closing of the transaction, Oryzon shares have maintained a quote between 20% and 25% above the placement price, reflecting market confidence and strong investor support.
