The Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce (CCBE) has organized, in collaboration with Casa América, the Embassy of Brazil and the Government of Brazil, the event to present the Investimentos Partnership Program to the Spanish market with the presence of the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and for Ibero-America and the Caribbean, Juan Pablo de Laiglesia and the Secretary of State for Commerce, Xiana Margarida Méndez Bértolo.

Under the title "Investment opportunities in Brazil: PPI priority projects", There Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce (CCBE) has organized, in collaboration with Casa América, Embassy of Brazil and Government of Brazil the presentation event of the Investment Partnership Program al Spanish market with the investment opportunities in Brazil, highlighting the railways, roads, airports, electric power, mining, oil and gas sectors.

 

José Gasset, president of the Brazil-Spain Chamber of Commerce has recognized that “today is, for the CCBE and Spanish companies, a unique opportunity, since we have the presence of Adalberto Santos de Vasconcelos, special secretary of the Secretariat of the Investment Partnership Program, and we will learn first-hand about the infrastructure projects in Brazil. Adalberto Santos de Vasconcelos, special secretary of the Secretariat of the Investment Partnership Program (PPI) has stated that, after the crisis, in Brazil it was necessary to invest and we had to count on foreign partners to overcome the difficulties in a country with a lot of extension. According to the dimensions, infrastructure is a bottleneck that must be overcome. In May 2016, this program was created to coordinate the entire infrastructure area, inside and outside the government, with future planning. The program aims to promote projects in a transparent, easy and efficient way, and has 70 government technicians. In these 36 months very good results have been achieved.

 

This is a state and technical program, which I lead together with a technical group with complete freedom, but without haste, which works as a hub, and which we are spreading throughout the world.

 

248 projects from different sectors have been qualified, and 147 projects have been carried out, more than have been carried out in the last 14 years.

 

260.000 million reais have been obtained with these investments. Of these 147 projects, 94 are in the energy sector, 1 in roads, 1 in railways, 16 in airports, 27 ports, 7 in oil and gas, and one in CASEMG.

 

The good news is that there is a portfolio of 101 more investment opportunities in the following sectors: 11 in railways, 20 in ports, 22 in airports, 17 in roads, 1 in COMAER, 4 in mining, 16 in energy, oil and gas, 1 in supply, 2 in public policy, and 3 in regional development.
