Fund endowed with nearly €25 million
It will take place on Friday, July 12, at 10:00 a.m. at the Palacio de la Magdalena, and will feature the participation of Quim Martínez Bosch, Director Management Consulting KPMG.
At the end of March of last year, the Spanish Port System approved the creation of “PORTS 4.0” Fund with the purpose of promoting entrepreneurship for innovation in the Spanish port-logistics sector.
This fund, initially established for a period of four years, will be endowed with around €25 million to finance innovative ideas and projects that provide solutions, differential capabilities and competitive advantages for the sector.
Aware of the importance of this program, the Santander Port Authority, In collaboration with SODERCAN, the Directorate of Innovation, Technological Development and Industrial Entrepreneurship of the Government of Cantabria, and the support of CISE, has been working on the creation of an “ecosystem” that, having the port and its logistics-port community as a focus of attention, and the aforementioned fund as a driving instrument, generates and puts innovative thinking into practice. Ideas and projects, scalable and replicable to the Spanish port logistics sector, aimed at increasing its productivity, competitiveness and sustainability.
Giving continuity to the actions that are being developed to promote, boost and mobilize the innovative potential of the “ecosystem”, on Friday, July 12, at 10:00 a.m. at the Magdalena Palace, a work session will be held with those entities and technology companies, startups, etc. and our “port community” interested in participating in “PORTS 4.0".
