TTIP
Promoting the internationalization of Spanish companies, especially small and medium-sized companies, is one of the benefits that the signing of the transatlantic trade and investment agreement with the US would bring to the Spanish economy.
(TTIP), researchers and representatives of financial and institutional organizations who have participated in the presentation of the book prepared by the Institute of Economic Studies (IEE) on this topic have agreed.
The book constitutes a detailed analysis of the impact that the TTIP would have on the Spanish economy, applying the most advanced techniques to try to quantify its impact on GDP, salaries, job creation, well-being, exports, imports and production.
The balance of the study is clearly positive, reflecting that the Spanish economy is prepared and also capable as an export power to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the TTIP to sell in other markets. They also highlight that the TTIP is a fundamental instrument for Europe and Spain to maintain a relevant role in world hegemony, not only in foreign trade issues but for the country's geostrategic interests.
