This February 23, it was presented, within the framework of ARCMadrid 2017, the 2nd edition of ARCOlisbon which, organized by IFEMA, will be held from May 18 to 21 at the National cordoaria with the support of the Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, Fundaçao EDP and the Ministry of Culture of Portugal.
The quality of the artistic programs of the international galleries selected by the Organizing Committee all with ARC Lisbon 2017, as well as the social program in the Portuguese capital, will be the best attraction to attract international collecting, renowned professionals and the general public.
The art world will look again at Lisbon, a city dedicated to contemporary art, whose enthusiasm is combined with the support of the Fair by institutions, galleries and collectors with their different exhibitions and events, and sharing with the participants and guests ARCOlisbon meeting opportunities.

All of this also coincides with a moment of special dynamism in the country's artistic scene, with the new space of the Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT) of the EDP Foundation, new galleries and non-profit spaces, and the nomination of Lisbon Ibero-American Capital of Culture 2017. With this reason ARCOlisbon will host a series of meetings and activities related to Latin America that will bring together prominent professionals from the art world, such as the Meeting of Museums of Europe and Latin America, among others.
The presentation event, which took place today in the space ARCOlunch of the Madrid event, has had the presence of Secretary of State for Culture of Portugal, Miguel Honrado, Ambassador of Portugal to Spain, Francisco Ribeiro de Menezes, authorities of the Lisbon Municipal Chamber, EDP and the Portuguese Ministry of Culture, as well as journalists and other contemporary art professionals.
