Visit of port authorities, terminals and companies

A delegation of managers from ports, terminals and companies in the maritime sector from Central and South America has visited the Port of Seville as part of the "Port Leaders" mission.

The delegation has shown special interest in the progress of the Sevillian port in terms of synchromodality, digitalization and sustainability.

 

During the visit, the representatives of the Latin American ports have been able to see first-hand the infrastructure of the Port of SevilleIncluding Batán Logistics District, the Logistics Activity Zone (ZAL), the Shipyard Industrial Estate and the lock.

 

Likewise, they have shown great interest in the Port of Seville's commitment to inland maritime navigation, as a sustainable alternative for the transport of goods, and in the approach "Working With Nature" in terms of environmental sustainability.

 

The "Port Leaders" initiative, developed by Maritime Policy Bureau and PR PORTS, aims to foster innovation, sustainability, and intercontinental collaboration in the maritime port sector.

 

Through visits to different Spanish ports, such as Valencia, Barcelona, ​​Huelva, Cádiz, Algeciras and SevilleIn addition to Puertos del Estado, participants have the opportunity to learn about the best international practices and generate an exchange of ideas and experiences.

 

The visit of the "Port Leaders" delegation was accompanied by representatives of the Seville port community, such as ProSevillaPort, Propeller Club, Sevisur, Guadalquivir Maritime Terminal, Aldeport, Euroports Carbón Puerto, Sevitrade, CMA-CMG, Boluda, Maritime Captaincy and personnel from the Port Authority of Seville.
