Interview with Piedad López Pérez, manager of Quesos Mahón Menorca
We recently interviewed Piedad López Pérez, manager of Quesos Mahón Menorca, the Protected Designation of Origin of a cow cheese in its different varieties.
In 2014, the 42 registered cheese factories produced a total of 3,000.690 kilos of Mahón Menorca cheese, of which 2,307.816 kilos were sold, representing a value of about 15,2 million euros.
Since its constitution, the Mahón Menorca cheese sold in international markets currently being present in 30 countries. Last year, turnover from abroad accounted for 11%, exporting first to the United States followed by France.
