Ramon Garcia, CEO of Spanish Logistics Center (CEL), has been appointed vice president of the European Logistics Association (ELA), following a vote by the board of directors held on August 4. His appointment positions him as a key figure to lead two strategic areas: coordinating relations with European institutions and promoting innovation in the sector.
García's appointment is particularly significant, as his profile aligns with the ELA's new roadmap, which focuses on institutional projects, cooperation with the EU, and the promotion of knowledge and innovation. In his own words, the objective is "Expand ALS's influence and collaboration in Europe".
With more than 25 years of experience, García's experience in supply chain management (SCM), project financing, and institutional relations have been fundamental to his selection. As Director of Innovation at CEL for 16 years and as General Manager of the Logistics Innovation Cluster (CITET) for 11, he has demonstrated strong leadership in promoting logistics excellence and sustainability. His candidacy was also highlighted by his participation in the former ELA EU Relations Committee, his management of the CEL Awards, and his recent recognition as one of the leading B2B influencers in the logistics sector in Spain.
With the new vice presidency, García will lead institutional relations with the EU and promote innovation within the ELA.
The manager expressed his commitment to his new role: “I am committed to advancing logistics innovation and strengthening strategic ties with EU institutions. My goal is to contribute to the mission of the European Logistics Partnership by leveraging my experience to increase its influence and collaborative reach across the EU. Europe".
