Reyes Maroto presents Conexión España, “the bridge that connects Spanish management talent around the world”

“The bridge that connects Spanish managerial talent around the world”, is how it is defined Spain connection, an independent and non-profit initiative, created with the objective of knowing, connecting and giving recognition of the Spanish management network abroad This project aims to promote the exchange of knowledge, interests, concerns and experiences, and thus be able to give greater visibility to the talent of Spanish leaders.

 

In his speech, Minister Reyes Maroto thanked the launch of this initiative to connect human capital around the world and pointed out Spanish professional and managerial talent as one of the main values ​​that determine the business climate. A capital that, according to the minister, “contributes to the internationalization of our companies and there are already many companies foreign multinationals that recognize that talent and they incorporate it into their teams.” For Maroto “these professionals contribute to the image of Spain and its companies, generating invaluable first-hand knowledge of the business environment and the business fabric in the countries in which they operate,” he stressed.

 

Spain connection will connect managers with other Spanish companies and institutions, thanks to the network they will have access to exclusive content and events, and, in addition, they will contribute to the recognition of Spanish managerial talent, which will boost Spain's reputation and brand in other countries, for the benefit of a greater competitiveness of the Spanish economy.

 

The presentation made today at the headquarters of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce brought together the top representatives of the promoting institutions: the president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Joseph Louis Bonet, the vice president of the CEDE Foundation – Spanish Confederation of Directors and Executives, Ramon Adell, the president of the Forum of Renowned Spanish Brands, Ignacio Osborne and the CEO of ICEX Spain Exportation and Investments, Maria Pena.

 

The president of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Joseph Louis Bonet, highlighted that “Conexión España was born from the conviction that the creation of a network that would allow Spanish managers and directors to interact in the world and that would facilitate contact with public and private institutions in Spain was something that added value to them. , which reinforces the sense of belonging to a community and also contributes to enhancing the notoriety and visibility of Spanish business talent in the world and, therefore, the competitiveness and reputation of our country on a global scale.”

 

In the opinion of the Minister, Spanish human capital “contributes to the internationalization of our companies and there are already many foreign multinational companies that recognize this talent and incorporate it into their teams.”

 

Meanwhile María Peña, CEO of ICEX has stressed that “having an asset like Conexión España definitely makes us stronger and we believe that ICEX, and therefore the Secretary of State for Commerce, they will also be a source of value for the network and its Members.”

Conexión España is an initiative of the Forum of Renowned Spanish Brands, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish Confederation of Directors (CEDE) with the support of ICEX Exportation and Investment, the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , European Union and Cooperation, as an institutional partner. It also has the collaboration of Multinationals for Marca España and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.

 

This initiative It is aimed at Spaniards residing abroad who work in subsidiaries of Spanish companies, local companies, multinationals or in public or private organizations in the economic and business field, Spaniards who have an international professional career, even if they currently reside in Spain, and managers with another nationality who have a personal connection and/or or professional with Spain. It currently has more than 400 executives in 58 countries.
